Owner and Operator of Girls Gone Wild
If the name and face of Joe Francis don’t seem immediately familiar, then you must not have seen too many late night Girls Gone Wild infomercials. After all, for the past decade or so, Francis has traveled to all annals of the world and created an empire off of selling a slew of cheap videos of cheap college floozies in a cheap and efficient manner to the post-Conan O’Brien crowd. When he started, the company wasn’t made up of much more than Francis and a few friends. But nowadays, the operation has grown just a wee bit bigger.“We have some 350 people now. I’m the CEO. We also have a President, a COO, a CFO and then it’s mostly VPs, general council VPs and so on.”
Though Joe and the GGW franchise might seem to have lost some of their initial steam in recent years, such could not be further from the truth, as Joe continues taking his company to the moon…literally. With the upcoming release GGW Ultimate Rush, the cameras will be following its stars into all areas of the unknown, including to the infinite depths of outer space. “This will be the first time we’ve used extreme sports. We take you through the world of alternative lifestyles and search for the ultimate rush. It’s pretty heart pounding, kind of like going for the ride of your life!”
For the time being, Francis seems content with keeping the GGW ball rolling. However, whether he plans on keeping the softcore beast going and growing ‘til the end of his days is as up in the air as the space-bound babes of Ultimate Rush.
“I couldn’t tell you what I’m going to do next week. I just sort of do it. I’m not planning my own death yet. I’ll let you know though.”
Of course, knowing Joe, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he somehow let us all know of his passing during the early morning operating hours of a second-rate cable station.
“I don’t think I’m going to tape it. I’m sure someone else will though.”
