It just kinda “Falls” together, I guess. (Laughs.) Sorry, that was a stupid pun. Actually, your phone cut out just then, so I really have no idea what you said.

Wonderful. Now, you’ve been touring heavily since 2004, and the fans have been very perceptive. You’ve been pegged as a band to see live. What helps you bring your sort of special energy to the stage?
I think it’s desperation. Every time we go out, we just wanted the audience to connect with us. We just don’t wanna blow it, you know? It’s important to us that we don’t mess up. When we’re on stage, we’re like, “Please understand what we’re saying. Please connect with us.”

You commented that you love live performances and you are, of course, committed to your fans. From the tour log on your myspace page, it seems like you’ve got a lot of interesting stories to tell. How has the touring experience been for you all?
Great. It’s busy—crazy busy. I didn’t realize all the things that were involved—radio shows, promotional gigs. At this point, we’re still in a van. But after the first couple weeks, our bodies adjusted.

Speaking of myspace, how do you feel about emerging technologies like myspace that can help you to connect on a more personal level with your fans?
I think myspace is amazing. You go to a show, you go back to your hotel, and right away, you have people writing comments, asking you questions—it just allows us to connect and interact with the band. And bands that don’t have record deals, they’re able to expose themselves. But I’m not very computer savvy, and I personally hate computers.

How do you feel about the extra attention that you guys get now that you’re more well-known?
I haven’t really noticed that. I guess I’ve been oblivious to it. But it’s great if someone’s connecting to the music.
