That’s right, our ‘Saturday Night Loud! Vol. 3’ CD design contest (sponsored by Adobe Services) is now officially closed. Thanks to everyone who entered - the standard was amazing and it was tough to choose a grand prize winner. But there can only be one! Well, one winner and two runners-up. And here they are... WINNER!!
Ramiro Gallegos  RUNNERS-UP! Olivier Parsy  and Michael Williams  Ramiro's design will appear on our Saturday Night Loud! Vol. 3 CD, which will be distributed alongside our May issue, on stands April 23!
All three designers will receive a copy of Adobe Creative Suite, courtesy of Adobe Services. Here are the nine designs that made it to the final round. Take a look and let us know which one you would've given the prize to! By Michael Williams

to those of you who are trashing other people's designs....stop being ridiculous. the reason we know it took alot of work is because we know the artist. and no one is trying to sway you with any garbage explanations, and if you had any sense of humor, you'd know that. all of the designs have merits and faults, and I personally am impressed by all of the designs. You should all be proud of your work.

I don't know yet, but I can tell you who it won't be: Mike or Grace. Grace's is too much like the first SNLoud! case, a design style that the magazine seemed to grow past almost a year ago. Mike's is too artsy for the loyal idiot readership of SNM. Art might feed the soul, but it sells like shit.

i was looking at the other saturday night loud! cd covers, and grace's seems to fit in just perfectly. her cd cover would create a sense of unity with the others so people could identify the cds as part of the same series.

grace lee's design has the immediate appeal that conveys the excitement of a "saturday night", but upon closer examination the artwork is great as well.

Michael Williams's is the most aesthetically pleasing, hands down. Unlike the other nominees, I think the subtlety and elegance of his piece would appeal to a broad demographic. If your goal is to move units, the choice seems obvious.

Ramiro, you have already won this competition. Both of your designs are so far above the rest on a level of creativity and cleanliness. Michael Williams was too simplistic, too dirty and too easy. Chad and Grace, your ideas are as dated as they come. Oliver's definitely showed signs of life that the first three hadn't, but still was lacking. Emily, you created The Matrix with Downs Syndrome. L.T. just feels too wack-wack-wacky and the mix tape was just a lazy letdown. Give Ramiro the $10,000.

i'm really liking the 3rd and fourth one. i'm not sure about the shoes the 3rd one is wearing, but does that really matter?
