Home INTERVIEWS Musicians New Found Glory

New Found Glory

E-mail Print PDF
It’s been two years since New Found Glory released a record, but Coming Home was worth the wait. The songs still rock, but there’s an added beauty echoed in their SoCal harmonies and full piano chords. For lead singer Jordan Pundik, two years was the right amount of time to make a great record. “We wanted to take time because for the other records we couldn’t.”

Life has been hectic for the foursome since their breakthrough album, Sticks and Stones. It’s been a nonstop ascent, with their music climbing the charts all over the world and the band headlining both the 2002 and 2004 Warped Tour. But even with their success, they still remain accessible. They’ve created a special section on their website called “Ask the Band,” where fans can communicate directly with the musicians. “We always strive to be good to our fans. You could be outside after the show and we’ll come out and hang out.”

As for the future, Pundik jokingly claimed, “I’ve always talked about it with my friends in other bands, ‘You know we should do something crazier, or just some country shit.’” A country record? What’s amazing is that New Found Glory could probably pull it off. Give ‘em two years and a farm house in Tennessee, and you’d find yourself singing along to another catchy NFG album – this time with a little twang.
