Yet walking into this one-room restaurant, you’re miraculously transported from Beverly Hills to a splendid Moroccan retreat. It’s a world where massive mirrors delicately hang on dark walls – where black-and-white photos of distant lands and lustrous tiled floors intertwine with one another to create a cozy, seductive, romantic getaway.
Underneath the faint flicker of candles that balance on worn wooden tables and hang from ornate ceiling fixtures, feast upon traditional Moroccan dishes and sip sweet mint tea. The Tasting Menu is the best option, as it gives you the chance to sample everything Tagine has to offer. From the Mediterranean salad to the crunchy bastilla and the pleasantly sweet baklava at the end, each course bursts with its own distinctive, fiery flavors.
With its serene atmosphere and Tasting menu that can be shared between two people, Tagine is a great date destination. You can pretty much walk in any day of the week to snuggle against one of the corner banquettes and enjoy a relaxing lunch or dinner. Just be sure to make advance reservations on Friday and Saturday nights, because this hidden gem quickly fills with visitors who have come from far and near to taste Tagine’s wondrous cuisine.
