Fast & Furious
Cast: Paul Walker, Vin Diesel
Story: Two old adversaries are reunited as ex-con dominic (Diesel) and FBI agent O’Connor (Walker) discover they have a common enemy and must band together.
Buzz: It’s been eight years since the original F&F and here we are back with the original cast for another action-packed, mind-numbing joyride. sit back and enjoy.

Observe and Report
Hits Screens: April 10
Cast: Seth Rogen, Anna Faris
Story: When a flasher appears at his shopping mall, security guard ronnie (rogen) steps up to catch the culprit and protect the girl of his dreams.
Buzz: Forget Paul Blart, this is the only action comedy mall cop movie ever worth watching. Seth Rogen plays awesomely weird and Ray Liotta is deadpan funny but it’s Anna Faris who really cracks us up.

17 Again
Hits Screens: April 17
Cast: Zac Efron, Matthew Perry
Story: Thirty-something suburbanite Mike O’Donnell (Perry) realizes he’s wasted his life and suddenly reverts back to his 17-year-old self (Efron). Do-over!
Buzz: sure, it’s basically a reverse Big or 13 Going on 30, but this age-switching comedy is worth a look, if you can handle some cheesy moments and a lot of Zac Efron.

Crank 2: High Voltage
Hits Screens: April 17
Cast: Jason Statham, Amy Smart
Story: Story you say? Not likely. Statham’s assassin is on the hunt again and must this time keep his heart beating with jolts of electricity. Don’t ask.
Buzz: Statham seems to have struck gold with yet another guns blazing, stunts-over-substance action franchise. keep an eye out for bizarre cameos by Corey Haim and Bai Ling.

State of Play
Hits Screens: April 17
Cast: Russell Crowe, Rachel McAdams
Story: When a young politician’s assistant/mistress is murdered, a star reporter steps in to solve the mystery and ends up unearthing a deeper conspiracy.
Buzz: We’re not crowe fans but the rest of this stellar cast (Ben Affleck, Helen Mirren and the welcome return of rachel McAdams) more than make up for him.

The Soloist
Hits Screens: April 24
Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Jamie Foxx
Story: A reporter delves into the life of a brilliant musician and former Julliard student whose troubled life has lead him to living on skid row.
Buzz: Combine the director of Atonement with the power duo of Downey Jr. and Foxx and you’ve got yourself a serious piece of character-driven drama. If you care, that is.
