Santogold
Her self-titled album is quickly attracting a lot of buzz with fun tracks like “Lights Out,” but it’s Santogold’s unique sound (kind of a fusion of punk, indie rock and electronic) that is giving the artist legs in 2009.

Kings of Leon
Brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill, along with their cousin Matthew, have more than proved the Aouth has still got some bite when it comes to rock. With hits like “Sex on Fire” heating up the charts, the band is on the rise in 2009.
We The Kings
Getting recognition in 2008 with their hit pop-rock single “Check Yes: Juliet,” We The Kings , whose members met in middle school (aww), will keep fans happy when they hit the recording studio once again in January 2009.

Blikk Fang
Of Montreal’s Kevin Barnnes and MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden have teamed up together to start this side project indie group. Things might still be a bit under wraps, but the payoff could be big. Fans of both groups are waiting patiently.

Guns N Roses
Break out the free Dr. Pepper, “Freedom Through Chinese Democracy,” the album Roses fans have been waiting years for, has finally been released. Thanks to the new material, we’re hoping that 2009 brings less rocking out to “Sweet Child of Mine” at the bars

Tokio Hotel
You may remember these German boys cleaning up at the VMAs this year… or maybe you just remember lead singer Bill Kaulitz’s hair. This band will be catching your attention even more in 2009 as they continue to conquer the States.

The Cab
Even though their album came out in April of 2008, the band has not yet reached its full potential. With the help of lead vocalist, Alex DeLeon, and catchy tracks, you’ll be down for the ride in 2009.

The All-American Rejects
After much anticipation, the pop-punk band is finally releasing its third studio album, “When The World Comes Down” on December 16 of this year and should be alive and well on radio airwaves in 2009.

Ludo
Ludo had us at “Love Me Dead,” which broke the top 10 single barrier this year, and is keeping us entertained with their cheeky lyrics and rock opera sound. We see momentum building in the new year as their album, You’re Awful, I Love You, continues to get radio play.

Britney Spears
What stint in rehab? What custody battle? What shaved head? Britney is back, so get on board. Ms. Spears’ new album “Circus” is due out December 2 so get ready to hit the dance floor to some Britney in 2009.
